The Prezi Assignment
For this assignment we are going to use Prezi.
1) Please visit Prezi.com and sign up for an account, get an “Edu Enjoy” account if possible. It is free and offers more features than the “Public” account.
2) Once you have an account explore the tools for about an hour.
3) Design and execute a Prezi that addresses these questions about your work:
- Describe the medium, scale, and process used in your work?
- Are there any particular reasons in your choice of medium, scale, and process?
- Is there a central theme(s), inquiry, or interest from which you generate your work?
- Are there contemporary, historical images, or movements that have influenced your work?
- How do you intend a viewer engage your work, intellectually or emotionally?
- What associations do you hope viewers make when viewing your work?
- How do you contextualize your process or images in the greater context of artists throughout history?

Film Reel Assignment
For this assignment you will be creating a portfolio film reel that will feature your work!
While we did use iMovie in class, I do not care what you work in. However,
the reel must meet the following requirements:
1. The reel must be targeted toward a specific purpose. The film reel must be compelling and targeted toward a purpose rather than general overview of your work.
2. The length of the reel must be 3-5 minutes. Do not go over, do not go under.
3. I am not going to dictate an arbitrary number of images to be utilized. Therefore if you can make your statement compelling and vivid using three images or three hundred, go for it.
4. The reel must include contact information inside the film.
5. You are required to have some kind of audio.
6. The final output will be an iMovie “Export Movie” to file, highest quality possible.
7. Please provide proper credit for appropriated content.
8. The film will be due on March 19th and will be shown in class and critiqued.
You will be evaluated on:

Museum / Gallery Visit
This assignment is due February 29th @ 6:00 PM
Turn it in via a link to a Google Doc in the comment section below.
REQUIREMENTS:
For this assignment you are to visit a museum or gallery of your choice. I have suggested a few that might be of interest. However, you are free to choose. You will write a review that must be at least 500 words. What does 500 words look like? Click here for an example. Your review must include photographic proof that you were actually there. It is to be included within the document. It would be a good thing to use images to support your writing. However, be polite and ask before taking any photos.
In your review focus on the following points. You may have additional. If you do by all means use them. Use the points as guidelines for your review. It is possible that you may not touch upon every point within 500 words.
- What gallery/museum did you visit?
- What was the work about?
- Was the work successfully displayed? If not why?
- Was the work successfully grouped? If not why?
- Comment on the degree or professionalism or was it lacking?
- What supporting texts were available and did they offer insight to the artist(s)?
- Did the work fit the venue or not?
- How was the show or exhibit promoted?
- Who was the target audience?
